Honestly now, when you think about it, comics have become just a little too serious. The world is scary enough. There's a sour note hanging in the air. The last thing we need is to inject all the angst, fear and frustration into one of the most imaginative creations ever dreamed up… the world of the comic book. Where
are the stories of the unbelievable events, wonder and awe that make
comics great? Side-splitting stories filled with an unlikely
hero, an alien sidekick, pirate ships & "suped up" big wheels? Where
are the stories of killer dirt-clods, a homeless prophet, and the
devil stopping by for a Right here! a.k.a. Comics is proud to bring you The Miscellaneous Adventures of STYKMAN™. In 2002 at the San Diego Comicon, a PREVIEW POSTER & character sheets were handed out to fans with an overwhelmingly positive response. Friends and family will always love your ideas. It's not until you put it before the rabid, unforgiving fan-base before you know whether or not you should spend the rest of your life doing something insanely boring, like, selling insurance. And what did the fans say? They Loved it!!! In February 2006 a.k.a. Comics began distributing The Miscellaneous Adventures of STYKMAN™ direct to fans and retailers. Through a "grass-roots" approach to marketing a.k.a. Comics was able to catch the attention of Diamond Comics Distributors, Inc. by gaining critical acclaim for the comics and selling out at most conventions. –Wizard Magazine In February of 2007 Diamond Comic Distributors, Inc began distributing STYKMAN. Due to the fact that most retailers opted not to deal directly with a.k.a. Comics and carry STYKMAN, something we completely understand, Diamond will begin distributing with issue #1. The comics will distributed every other month until 2008 where it is the goal of a.k.a. Comics to bring you The Miscellaneous Adventures of STYKMAN™ on a 4-6 week basis. Several years and multiple ideas have been tossed on the scrap heap in order to bring you a comic that meets the expectations of the fans and industry alike. Entertaining stories, incredible art, and full color pages printed on high quality paper. These stories will continue to come as long as you
