•11/14/2006 Just returned from Wizard World Texas. How can you not love Texas? The people there are just so pleasant and down to earth. Once again the folks there gave us a tremendous welcome back. It was so wonderful to see many of the fans we gained the year before as well as others we acquired along the way at the many show appearances we made in 2006. Judging by the amazing response and the incredible sales, we've apparently made quite a few more friends in the Lone Star state. We came very close to once again selling out of the comics we had on hand.

With all of the creative, incredibly talented people at the show, we could not believe the results & accolades we received. Don't just take our word for it, read what some of the emails from attendees had to say.

Patrick writes:

"Hi there. I picked up issue #1 of Stykman from you at Wizard Texas. I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed it very much. It was a lot of fun to read. I was looking for something fresh, new and different to get me away from the Marvel / DC mainstream for
awhile and Stykman hit the spot! Now I only wish I would have picked up issue #2 while you were in town..."

Bruce tells us:

"...By the way, your comics are amusing and very well produced. In fact, I think I may have bought at least one comic from every small publisher from the show and I would have to say that yours was the most humorous, contained the best art (both drawing and color), and generally appeared to be the most professional out of the dozen or so independents I picked up at the convention."

Bruce also points out that our lettering and balloon placement is off in a couple of places. We would agree. Lettering is an artform all in itself. One we have yet to master. But we're working on it. Thanks for the heads-up, Bruce! ;0)

As stated above, several of our friends stopped by to say "hi" and pick up some of the new miscellaneous merchandise we had on display. We want to take a moment and thank Jeffrey and Parker Foreman, Aaron Butler and his niece Jordan, Clint Page, Mr. Les "Buster" Webster, Johnny Lynn, Joshua Perkins and his son, and so many others (Our apologies if we could not remember everyone's names. Drop us a note ans we'll update this column.). We wish we had photos of everyone.

Last, but not least, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Wizard Entertainment for all of their hard work to bring this convention to life. We're looking forward to what you folks have in store for us next year in Los Angeles.

Thanks again, Texas. It was a real blast. We will be back next year. Count on it!!!

The GhostBusters dropped by to chase away the spooks.

"Uh, did you happen to see my commander anywhere? He wears a blue dish rag on his head."

A special Thank You to all of you who have waited patiently for this character to finally make it to the printed page. We were overwhelmed by the loyalty.
I hope you were not disappointed.
Let's keep the momentum going.
