•06/25/2006 We just returned from Wizard World Philadelphia. What a show! We've never been busier. Once again, "the city of Brotherly Love" loves The Miscellaneous Adventures of STYKMAN™. A great big THANK YOU goes out to all of the existing and newly acquired fans. You made our trip well worth wild; And we love you for it. A special Thank you goes out to Liam for sporting his "SUPPORT OUR TROOPS" STYKMAN T-Shirt throughout the show. The rundown of the weekend is as follows: We arrived in Philadelphia one day early in order to have dinner at Cuba Libre with the lovely Karen Evora from Wizard Magazine as we discussed the new column appearing in Wizard magazine #191 onsale August written by your's truly (A wonderful honor; I hope I do not disappoint.). Also at dinner was (CLICK HERE to see a photo journal of some of the awe inspiring sites in Philadelphia). The show opened with a bang. A large number of people had begun lining up out in front of the convention center anxiously awaiting the doors to open. Once they did, individuals of all shapes and sizes poured into the hall. Fortunately this year everyone was in a great mood (See comments on WWLA first day.). There was an electricity and excitement creating such a buzz in the hall. I do not believe we have been busier at a Wizard World show. Something the was visibly different his year was the
shear size of Artist Alley. It was really exciting to see so many new
faces showing off their wares. To our right we had famed artist of
SHE-DRAGON Franchesco & to our left the boys from N3RD
PODCAST set
up shop promtoing their show and new comic REVELATIONS. Several media folks stopped by to chat about the success of STYKMAN including DAFIXER"S HIDEOUT, and the folks at SPEWGILIST. Apparently Brian and james from SECRETIDENTITY PODCAST dropped by several times but were unable to talk with us due to the steady flow of existing and newly discovered STYKMAN fans. All in all a tremendous show. We really appreciate the feedback we received from both fans and retailers carrying our books. We cannot thank you enough. The folks in Philly always seem to make our trips there memorable. We will be back next year. Next up on the convention circuit: THE BIG ONE |
