•07/30/2007 Once again the showroom
floor was filled from end to end with fans of comics, movies, toys,
and video games. Although hard to decsibe the energy and enthusiasm
of the attendees, rest assured it was intense.
Although we missed Preview night due to printing problems
on issue 3, Thursday through Sunday proved to be worth wild. It is
always a thrill when we get to meet up with fans of the comic and those
who have yet to hear of the bumbling branch.
Sadly, a last minute glitch in the printing process left
us without the long-awaited issue 3; as well as the promotional statues
of STYKMAN and GENERAL SOD were not painted in time for the show(Although
rumor has it they wll be on display in Texas in Nov). Word from the
printer is that issue 3 will be available at Wizard World Chicago.
While at the show, series creator Jonnie Allan was approached
by the folks over at ACCROSS THE POND & DESPERADO publishing (Eisner
Award winners) to collaborate on a new comedy series entitles THE HAGGIS.
Details are still being ironed out so watch the STYKS & STONES newsletter
for details.
Those of you who are fans of SCI FI channel's BATTLESTAR
GALLACTICA might be interested to find out that Aaron Douglas (The
Chief) is a huge fan of STYKMAN. We ran into him at one of the after
partys that take place through out the conventione. Keep an eye out
for photos of him sporting his STYKMAN T-shirt.
Speaking of photos, we provided a few for your viewing
pleasure (See sidebar.)
One of the coolest things on display at the convention
(In our opinion) was the original BATMOBILE from the campy-as- all-get-out
BATMAN television show. A feeling of nostalgia washed over us as we
stood in its presence. See for yourself.

Once again we
had an amazing time and made a plethora of new friends. Great show
San Diego. Thank you so very much for making this another great convention
yet. Look for us next year.
Next up on the
convention circuit:
