•08/03/2006 Well, one thing you will not be able to say about the Comic-con International, is that nobody showed up. What a show! There were bodies everywhere. I've heard many different talleys, but I believe the total was anywhere from 130,000 to 150,000; And we met pretty much all of them. A great big THANK YOU goes out to all of the pre-existing and many newly acquired fans. We sold over 500 copies of Issues 1 and 2 and completely sold out of our exclusive cover (See sidebar.). From Wednesday (Preview Night) through Sunday, the heat was intense, people were everywhere, and the comics industry could never look stronger. We made some terrific contacts from all areas of the industry: From licensing agents, animation prospects, to possible collaborations with other independent creators. We will keep all of you posted through our STYKS & STONES e-newsletter. We also had on display a preview of a STYKMAN statue in the sculpting stage. We received a lot of rinterest to this item and would not be too surprised to see a resin kit or two offered by the beginning of next year. Sadly, our mock up of STYKMAN's H.A.W.G. (Big Wheel) did not make the show. We will most assuredly have it on display for next year. Congratulations to all of the winners in our nightly contests. Just like a bunch of yahoos, we forgot to get names and photos of the winners. Sorry about that. We will not drop the ball like that again. Congrats! Although we had no one pan-handling for a copy of The Miscellaneous Adventures of STYKMAN™ (See Emerald City Con news), we had an amazing time and made a plethora of new friends. Great show San Diego. Thank you so very much for making this our best convention yet. We will be back next year. Liam Writes: Next up on the convention circuit:
